Residential Solar Tracking System
Are you looking to take your home to Off the Grid? Well. very soon Outdoor Solutions will be your answer. We are currently in development to produce a Sun Tracker that can be mounted on your roof or on a pole in your yard that will Totally take you off the Grid.
If you are looking for something Right Now to help supliment your power bill or in some cases fully pay your power bill. You can use the RV Sun tracker. The Sun Tracker can fully power a ranch home or cabin that is up to 900 square feet. If you have a larger home you could use 2 systems and power a larger home. We currently have systems on cabins and remote locations where power is not available or too costly. The pictures on the left are of a 900 square foot ranch home that we installed a Sun Tracker on 3 years ago. The owner has been operating his ranch home from that point till today on our Sun Tracker exclusivly.
We also have installed a Sun Tracker on a remote monitoring station for Questar Gas Company in Rifle, Colorado. See the pictures on the left. Before installing the Sun Tracker, Questar had to send out a crew with a generator to the remote location any time they needed to run the filtration equiptment. After the installation of the Sun Tracker they just montor the remote location because the Sun Tracker provides the power to run the filtration equiptment. Questar no longer has to send out a crew or provide a generator. The Sun Tracker does it all.
All that is available today is taking solar panels and placing them on your south facing roof, like shingles, covering your entire roof. That system will cost you between $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 to take the average home off the grid. This in Not Cost Effective to Anyone.
The next problem with the current "Residential Solar System" is that you have to purchase a dual functioning meter. The current meter at your home only runs in one direction. From the Power Company to your house. In order to run the "Residential Solar System" you Must purchase a meter that will allow power to "Flow" back to the Power Company if you produce more power than you consume.
A few years ago the Government mandated that if you produce more power than you consume the power company Has to buy it back from you. The only problem is that the Government did Not mandate How Much the power company has to pay to buy back the power. Most cases the power company pays 10% or less to buy back Your power. That means that if you buy power @ $1.00 a KW the power will pay you $0.10 to buy your power. You see the power companies are Not in the business to Buy power from you, they are in business to Sell power to you. So they will pay you "Peanuts" for your power. Also, you have to Purchase the new meter so you can sell your power back. That meter can cost you up to $10,000.00. That is Above and Beyond the "Solar Cost"..
We are developing a Tracking system for homes that will take you Totally Off The Grid for between $15,000.00 to $20,000.00. This is something the average home owner can afford. The way that we can do this is simple. Our Tracker can produce up to 10 times the power that Stationary panels can. So, when they put 80 stationary panels on your roof, we can produce the same power by using only 8 panels. The average cost of those solar panels is $700.00 each. So you can easily see how we can save you so much money. We also don t agree with the "Selling Back Power" theory. We believe that utility costs are on the Rise. Obama said that utility cost have to raise greatly for his "Cap & Trade" to work. Do you want to rely on the power company to maintain their prices? You trust the power company to keep paying you 10%? We don t. So, we will be able to set up your home with a battery pack so you have plenty of power after the sun goes down. On average you should expect your battery pack to last 15 to 20 years with proper maintenance. With batteries lasting that long you don t have to worry about replacing batteries every couple of years. This will save you a Lot of money. Not to mention never having to worry how much the power company raises their rates.
